Welcome to the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the
University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California.
Our pulmonology team includes many recognized leaders in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine:
Our mission is to provide the highest standard of care for our patients. We
strive to be a nationally recognized program of synergistic research,
education, and clinical care that effectively nurtures innovation,
translation, and dissemination of biomedical and informational
technologies as they apply to focused areas of chest medicine. We are
committed to:
- Providing timely and compassionate state-of-the-art patient care in the
context of social and cultural diversity. Our major areas of focus
include diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer and all aspects of
thoracic oncology, palliative care, minimally invasive interventions for
tracheobronchial, pulmonary, and pleural diseases, interstitial lung
disease and pulmonary fibrosis, as well as general pulmonary and
critical care medicine.
- Performing clinically relevant research that will benefit our patients
and community, as well as enhance the training of future specialists in
pulmonary and critical care medicine.
- Educating the public as well as our trainees, ancillary staff and other
health care providers in order to allow them to lead productive lives in
their chosen professions.
