Flexible Bronchoscopy

Flexible bronchoscopy Flexible bronchoscopy is a procedure used to examine the tracheobronchial tree in order to inspect the secretions, obtain specimens to detect windpipe and bronchial tubes, and remove airway infections and other illnesses, or treat patients with airway airway obstruction.

Procedures are performed in the outpatient procedure suite using topical anesthesia and intravenous sedation.

Patient Instructions:
If you are scheduled for a flexible bronchoscopy, we encourage you to view a short patient presentation that covers your preparation instructions, how to get there, and what to expect before, during and after the procedure.
